Liposuction for Men

Many of us, no matter how much we diet and work out, are still unable to change our shape.  This goes for men and women alike.  Despite common belief, men participate in cosmetic procedures just like women.  It is quite common for men to turn to liposculpture to achieve a more toned, masculine image.

View more before & after photos at www.pacificlipo.com

Pacific Lipo's body contouring procedures achieve amazing results in a spa-like setting. Some of the most common procedures requested by men are our abdominal lipo, love handles, lower back or flanks, male chest or gynecomastia, and chin and neck.  Our highly trained experts use instruments so tiny that only local anesthetic is necessary and no stitching is required!

Our goal is for you to remain comfortable and awake for your procedure, recover faster afterward, with minimal scarring, firmer, tighter skin, and smoother overall results.  Most patients are even able to drive themselves home after their procedure.

At Pacific Liposculpture we constantly strive to achieve the finest results possible by providing cutting edge, proven technology that is the safest available today.  Our team is comprised of only the most skilled medical professionals who long ago decided to specialize in advanced liposculpture (lipo) techniques.

Products To Avoid

There are products known to thin the blood, slowing the clotting process.  Other products are potentially harmful because of MAO (monoamine oxidase) inhibitory effects.  Some have the effect of lowering serum potassium levels, which can cause abnormal heart rhythms.  Some products impact the liver when general anesthesia is used.  Therefore, starting two weeks before surgery and ending two weeks after, surgery, please do not use the following:

PRODUCTS CONTAINING ASPIRIN
Alka-Seltzer, Anacin, Ascriptin, Bufferin, Contac, Darvon, Ecotrin, Empirin, Excedrin, Fiorinal, Midol, Norgesic, Percodan, Triaminic Vanquish

NON-STEROIDAL ANTI-INFLAMMATORY PRODUCTS
Advil, Aleve, Anaprox, Cataflam, Clinorial, Daypro, Dolobid, Duract, Ecotrin, Feldene, Ibuprofen, Indocin, Lodine, Medipren, Motrin, Nalfon, Naprelan, Naproxen, Naprosyn, Nuprin, Orudis, Oruvail, Ponstel, Relafen, Tolectin, Toradol, Voltaren

There may be other products that you may need to avoid.  Please contact the office before taking any medications two weeks prior and two weeks after surgery.

Acetaminophen (like Tylenol) is acceptable for headache and pain relief.

Arnica montana (homeopathic medicine) is acceptable for postoperative bruising and swelling.  If Arnica is used, please start after surgery as it thins the blood. Melatonin (hormone) 3mg is acceptable to use as a sleep aide after surgery. Take at bedtime.

DAY OF PROCEDURE
Eat a light breakfast and/or lunch on the day of your procedure; avoid caffeinated products such as coffee, tea, or energy drinks.  It is recommended that patients wear or bring loose and comfortable clothing the day of procedure.

FAQs - What Is The Recovery Period Like?

During your recovery from a liposculpture procedure, you will be wearing a compression garment around the areas treated.  The garment decreases swelling, helps mold the new shape, and provides support and comfort.  Garments must be worn following the procedure for comfort and to improve results. Duration of garment wear varies on an individual basis and will be determined by Rod Davis, PA-C, Pacific Lipo's Director of Surgery.  Follow up visits with Rod Davis are an important part during the recovery process and always free of charge.

Most of the bruising and swelling should subside within three weeks.  To speed the healing process and to reduce the likelihood of post-operative complications, our staff will advise you to begin light activity as soon as possible.  You should be able to return to work within one or two days if your work is fairly sedentary.  You should avoid strenuous activities for one to two weeks as your body heals, but within two to six weeks you should be able to resume all normal activities.  It's important to continue wearing the compression garment, which should be easily hidden under your clothing, unless instructed to do otherwise by our staff.
There were no surprises and Rod put me at ease with his outstanding bedside manner. It has been almost a month since my procedure and the office staff and Rod have been outstanding with guiding me through the healing process. They are very supportive and are there for me whenever I call with a question. -Jay S. from San Diego, CA

FAQs - What Is Liposculpture?

You Have Questions, We Have Answers - Most Popular FAQs

Liposculpture is also known as Body Sculpting, Body Contouring, Lipo, Lipotherme, and Liposuction. Liposculpturing involves a more artistic approach to liposuction.  This new liposuction technique gently and safely removes fat while minimizing the risk of skin irregularities and other more serious complications compared to the more conventional liposuction methods.

Liposculpture is much less invasive than traditional liposuction and the results are just as permanent. Microsurgery techniques reshape problem areas of the body without significant trauma to the patient. As a result, there is minimal bruising and the tiny 1-2 mm scars are almost nonexistent after healing for most patients.

New liposuction techniques utilize one or more of a broad array of technologies including laser, ultrasound, power-assisted micro-cannulas, or a combination of these techniques.
Whether it's your thighs, love handles, abdomen, arms, legs, or chin/neck that need reduction, liposculpture may be the permanent solution that you have been seeking.

Each area of the body can be tailored using the new liposuction techniques performed by our expert staff.  Liposculpture is all we do!  Have you been eager to take inches off your mid-section?  How about having thinner looking thighs or a better shaped bottom?  Our specialized techniques can significantly alter the appearance of your body with minimal discomfort.

Our staff has performed more than 15,000 procedures and we are here and ready to put our experience and expertise to work today to make your life better.

Inner & Outer Thigh Liposculpture

Too embarrassed to wear shorts?  Tired of your thighs rubbing together?

If you answered yes to the above, then you should consider thigh liposculpture.  No matter how much exercise you do or how closely you watch your diet, most women are simply genetically predisposed to accumulate fat in the thighs and legs.  Occasionally, some men struggle with the same problem.

Inner and outer thigh liposculpture is specifically designed for people who want to get rid of flabby thighs, saddlebags, and inner thighs that rub together.  You can choose to live with the genetic hand that was dealt to you, or you can treat the problem permanently with liposculpture.  Pacific Liposculpture’s quick and easy procedure will remove fat and tighten the skin, giving you smaller, smoother and younger looking legs.  So why wait?  Many people can return to work the following day with not only slimmer, sleeker thighs, but a renewed outlook on life and an improved self-image.
